Georgia Bulldogs Confirmed Another four-star Key Target to Boost Their Rising Depth

The Georgia Bulldogs are currently trailing in recruiting for the 2026 class, but they’re expected to get a boost from a highly sought-after in-state prospect. With only five commitments so far, including four four-star players, Georgia’s 2026 class is ranked 16th by On3.

However, they’re likely to add another four-star recruit to their roster, strengthening their group of playmakers. Tyriq Green, a versatile athlete from Buford, GA, has become a major target for teams nationwide.

Green has impressed as both a running back and a safety, attracting offers from numerous schools hoping to lure him out of Georgia.

But according to Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman, those teams trying to recruit Green away from Georgia are likely to be unsuccessful. Spiegelman stated: “Green is one of the top skill-position prospects from Buford High, a powerhouse in Georgia. USC, Tennessee, Florida State, Auburn, and Georgia are all competing for his commitment.

Green recently visited Athens again earlier this month. The Bulldogs are in strong contention with the four-star recruit as his decision approaches. My prediction is that Georgia will secure his commitment.” Ranked as the seventh-best athlete and the 19th-best player in Georgia by On3, Georgia’s challenge will be determining the best position for Green. However, Kirby Smart and his staff will be thrilled to have that problem when the time comes.
