Bills linebacker Terrel Bernard will not participate in this week’s game.

The Bills plan to keep quarterback Josh Allen’s streak of consecutive starts alive in their game against the Patriots this week. Head coach Sean McDermott confirmed that some other starters will also play, but linebacker Terrel Bernard will not be one of them.

McDermott shared in a Wednesday press conference that Bernard will miss this week’s game due to quad and leg injuries.

He explained that Bernard’s status is currently between week-to-week and day-to-day, with the hope that the time off will improve his chances of being available for the playoff opener.

This season, Bernard recorded 104 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, and a fumble recovery in 13 starts for the Bills.
