Former Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker Marcus Haynes has joined the San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL.
After spending time on the Steelers’ practice squad last season and being released in October, Haynes was aiming to join another NFL team before OTAs. Instead, he’ll return to the UFL to demonstrate his skills and work toward earning another NFL opportunity.
Marcus Haynes, an undrafted free agent out of Old Dominion in the 2023 NFL Draft, spent his rookie year moving between several teams, including the Houston Texans, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers.

His original stint with the San Antonio Brahmas was cut short in August when he signed with the Steelers. Now, he’s returned to the Brahmas as the UFL season nears its end.
With the Brahmas holding a 1-7 record, Haynes will have the opportunity to make an impression in the final games and potentially revive his chances for another shot in the NFL.
