Bills Rookie Compares Himself to Pro Bowl Veteran

The Buffalo Bills might be getting a “dog” in their third-round pick out of Arkansas.

The Buffalo Bills put together a strong group in the 2025 NFL Draft, selecting nine players—six on defense and three on offense.

Among the more intriguing additions is edge rusher Landon Jackson, formerly of Arkansas. Chosen with the 72nd overall pick in the third round, Jackson is already being viewed by some as one of the potential steals of the draft. Speaking with team reporter Maddy Glab, Jackson confidently compared his style of play to one of the NFL’s top defenders.

“One guy I really look up to is Maxx Crosby,” Jackson said. “He’s relentless. He plays with a nonstop motor, gets after quarterbacks in the passing game, and sets the edge with authority against the run.”

Crosby, a fourth-round pick by the Raiders in 2019, had a breakout rookie year with 10 sacks—quickly establishing himself as a high-value pick. Jackson is aiming to follow a similar path, using his draft position as motivation to prove his worth.

In his final season at Arkansas, Jackson posted 6.5 sacks and 10 tackles for loss, demonstrating both pass-rushing ability and run-stopping prowess. Now, he’s determined to show the league that those who passed on him will regret it.

If he is anything like Crosby like he says he is, then Jackson could prove that he was one of the steals of this year’s draft.
