Just In: Rangers Fuels Their Major Depth With The Reunion Of 32 years Old All Star Straight to power-house

Rangers Slugger Returns to Boost Red-Hot Lineup in Mets Series Finale

The Texas Rangers have taken Adolis García off the injured list and will have him available for the series finale against New York. García had been sidelined since September 1 due to a quad strain suffered during the game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

His return comes sooner than many expected. While rehabbing, he had a brief stretch in mid‑August where he performed very well—posting a slash line of roughly .368/.400/.632 over nine games before the injury forced another pause.

In order for the Rangers to open up a roster spot for García, they optioned Dustin Harris to Triple‑A Round Rock. Harris had been filling in for García during his absence and even contributed a walk‑off hit, but saw limited playing time in recent games.

Adolis García's career timeline

Statistically this season, García’s overall numbers had dipped. Across 513 plate appearances, he was hitting about .235 with an on‑base percentage in the .270s and slugging just over .400. While not his best, that brief stint of strong performance shows he still has the ability to contribute.

His recovery seems to have gone smoothly, helped by batting practice and less intense activity leading up to today. He reportedly declared himself ready to return after a session in the batting cages.

With García back, the Rangers get a boost in outfield depth just as they’re pushing toward the postseason. His return could help stabilize the lineup and provide some power and experience in clutch moments. It remains to be seen how the Rangers deploy him immediately—whether as a starter or in more limited duty to ease him back in.
