Just In: Rangers Bridged Another Deal With The Landing Of a 33-year-old Player From Western Divisional Rival

The Texas Rangers have added veteran utilityman Dylan Moore, signing him to a minor league contract on Tuesday, according to a report from The Athletic. Moore was recently released by the Seattle Mariners, ending his seven-year stint with the club and allowing him to remain in the American League West with a new opportunity in Texas.

Moore brings a valuable defensive resume, having won a utility Gold Glove last season. Known for his versatility, the 33-year-old has played every position except catcher throughout his career. In 2025 alone, Moore appeared in 30 games as an outfielder, 28 at second base, 16 each at first and third base, and six at shortstop for Seattle—showcasing his adaptability across the diamond.

This marks a dip from his 2024 numbers, where he posted a .201 average with a .320 OBP, along with 10 home runs, 42 RBIs, and 32 stolen bases—offering more consistency at the plate.
