Rasul Douglas may have gotten his start in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles, but his best years came with the Green Bay Packers.

In 2017, the Philadelphia Eagles selected cornerback Rasul Douglas in the third round, hoping he’d develop into a reliable starter.

He eventually did—just not in Philadelphia.

Douglas spent three seasons with the Eagles but never secured a consistent role in their defense. It wasn’t until later stints with the Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills that he emerged as a dependable starting corner.

Now 30 years old, Douglas is once again a free agent. While a return to the Eagles or Bills is possible, there’s growing media buzz around a potential reunion with the Packers.

Bleacher Report’s Matt Holder recently named a return to Green Bay as one of the best fits for Rasul Douglas as July begins.

“Douglas revived his career with the Packers in 2021, and a reunion would make a lot of sense,” Holder noted. “With Jaire Alexander gone, Green Bay is expected to start Nate Hobbs and Keisean Nixon on the outside. But both are more suited to playing nickel, so bringing Douglas back could allow one of them to shift into their natural role.”

Douglas spent three productive seasons with the Packers, recording 10 interceptions—by far the most successful stretch of his nine-year career.

Now 30 and still eager to extend his NFL journey, a return to Green Bay could be an ideal final chapter for the veteran corner.
