Just In: Baltimore Ravens signed 21 years Old Talented Rising Star to a four-year $16.6 million Contract Deal

The Baltimore Ravens have officially signed first-round draft pick Malaki Starks to a four-year rookie contract worth $16.6 million, including an $8.7 million signing bonus. The deal, finalized during the first week of organized team activities, also includes a fifth-year team option. Starks, selected 27th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, is expected to play a significant role in the Ravens’ secondary, potentially starting alongside All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton.

The 6-foot-1, 197-pound Starks brings versatility and athleticism to the Ravens’ defense. A three-year starter at Georgia, he recorded 197 tackles, six interceptions, and 23 passes defended over 43 games. His performance earned him first-team All-American honors in his final two seasons. Starks’ ability to play deep safety, in the nickel, and near the line of scrimmage makes him a valuable asset to the Ravens’ defensive schemes.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has praised Starks’ maturity and communication skills, noting that he has quickly adapted to the team’s defensive system. With the recent Achilles injury to Ar’Darius Washington, Starks is expected to see increased playing time in the safety rotation alongside Hamilton and Sanoussi Kane.

Starks expressed his excitement about joining the Ravens, describing the organization as “a really great organization” and praising head coach Harbaugh’s leadership. He also highlighted the opportunity to learn from veteran players and contribute to the team’s success.

As the Ravens prepare for the upcoming season, Starks’ addition strengthens their secondary and enhances their defensive depth. His blend of athleticism, intelligence, and versatility positions him to make an immediate impact on the field
