The Los Angeles Chargers have recently made a move by signing Dalevon Campbell, a former South Carolina wide receiver, to their roster. Dalevon Campbell began his college career at Illinois, spending three seasons there before transferring to Nevada for two seasons. He ultimately finished his college career with one season at South Carolina. Over the course of his college career, Campbell recorded 87 receptions, 1,463 yards, and three touchdowns.
His standout season came in 2023 at Nevada, where he posted 594 receiving yards, 31 receptions, and two touchdowns. After going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Chargers have signed him as an undrafted free agent, giving him an opportunity to prove himself at the next level.
Coming out of high school, Dalevon Campbell was rated as a three-star prospect, ranked the 142nd-best wide receiver and the 151st-best player in Texas in his class by 247Sports.
In a full-circle moment during the 2024 Citrus Bowl, Campbell had the opportunity to face Illinois, his former team. He made a notable impact in the game, recording one reception for 60 yards. That play highlighted his big-play potential and capped off a winding college career that spanned three programs before landing with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent.
The former Gamecock, Dalevon Campbell, brings much-needed size and experience to the Chargers’ wide receiver room. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 205 pounds, he offers a big-bodied presence on the outside—something the Chargers could use, especially with a reshaped receiving corps.
